              Basics for electricity

In the present world, electricity plays an important role, without electricity it is not possible to run some institutions ,factories etc.. Today we learn the basic use of electricity , before going to learn about basics, you must need to know what is electricity .Electricity is nothing but the flow of electrons. Atom is a combination of protons, Neutrons & electrons . The electrons are revolving around the nucleus which is the combination of protons and neutrons.

The sharing of electrons may happened at the time of formation of molecule. At the time of sharing, the electrons travels from one atom to another atom, this flow makes the electricity production. The electricity is mainly divided into two types, one is alternating current (AC) & another is direct current. See the following figure:

current: Flow of electrons
           *Current is denoted by I
            *The Units of current is Ampere.(scientist named Ampere)
                    Current = charge/ time
            In mathematical form,
                                I   =  Q/t
                               I   =  columb/ sec = Ampere

Voltage : potential difference between two points
             *Voltage is denoted by V
              *The units for voltage is volts.( scientist named volta)
                      Voltage = workdone/charge
               In mathematical form,
                              V = W/Q
                             V = Joule/columb = volts

Power : combination of voltage and current
            *power is denoted by P
             *The units of power is watts.(scientist named James watt)
                         Power = work/time
           In mathematical form,
                             P = w/t
                            P = joule/sec = watts.
(OR)
                Power = voltage * current
                        P = W/Q*Q/t
                       P = W/t = joule/sec = watts.

      The below figure shows the pie chart :

      The division of electricity is done based on the direction of current flowing, Alternating current means bi-directional where as direct current is the unidirectional, here a question arises that which electricity we are using in home appliances. so, for this I like to give a conclusion to you, see the below table:

Appliances
conversion
Mobile charges
Ac to Dc
Ceiling fan
works on Ac
Desert cooler
works on Ac
Computer & laptop
Ac to Dc
Tube light
works on Ac
Refrigerator
works on Ac

The electricity which is coming from generating station to consumer is alternating current. so, in mobiles a battery is present which is dc in nature.so, for charging the battery we must apply the unidirectional source thus we required the charger.In mobile charges a rectifier is present which converts alternating current to direct current.The ceiling fan does not require the conversion because it works on the principle of faraday`s laws of electromagnetic induction.In computers the electric conversion is done because it works on dc. so now you got an idea about he conversions, simply keep in mind that in major circumstances the devices which are existing electronic components in it are works on the dc supply only.

 Let`s now discuss how many types of electricity generation methods are present. The below slide explains the generation methods and also the updated version for generating electricity

The above video explain`s how to use fruits to generate electricity,my suggestion is that just make a practical way to learn electricity it will help you to learn a lot.
